This journey through time will take you beyond the exhibition to iconic locations of the early Impressionist movement. You will be transported to the Salon de Peinture et de Sculpture, then to the studio of the painter Frédéric Bazille, where the idea for this exhibition was born.
You will also find yourself on the Île de la Grenouillère, alongside Monet and Renoir painting together, and finally in Le Havre, where Monet created his famous painting Impression, Sunrise. These different encounters provide insight into the bonds of friendship and rivalry among the members of the group, the nature of their artistic quest, and the significance of what they were in the process of creating.
