Life Chronicles
Bordeaux
A dizzying journey through the history of life
The people of Bordeaux loved it!
They have traveled through millions of years… without leaving Bordeaux.
Fantastic experience with a group of teenagers. Very welcoming. Highly recommended.
An extraordinary experience and exceptionally friendly staff; we loved it. We'll be back to explore another world very soon. We've already visited Cheops and the ISS... Amazing!
An absolutely amazing experience!! This is my second time here; I've done the ISS and the Pyramids of Cheops, which I absolutely loved! The team is friendly, the setting is welcoming, the range of experiences is vast, and the equipment is incredible!! It's a truly unique experience in a perfect location with a top-notch team!! I highly recommend it!
Absolutely remarkable. I tried virtual reality immersion for the first time, and I was completely blown away; it felt incredibly real. On the advice of the staff, I chose Kheops, which was a huge success, and I understand why. I can't wait to come back and try the other themes; I think I'll do them all because I loved the experience so much. A big thank you to the Eclipso team who welcomed me with smiles, kindness, and great professionalism.
Fantastic and very realistic experience 😊 We'll gladly come back to do the other simulations
Space Explorer is by far my favorite, breathtaking, I would do it again with great pleasure!
A breathtaking new space explorer experience. I loved the others, but this one surpasses them! Don't miss it!
A fabulous journey aboard the ISS with spacewalks 💕 We move among the stars and close to the astronauts! A wonderful virtual reality experience
I visited the ISS, and I thought the experience was amazing. The best part was going out into space and watching the Earth go by. Also, when the astronauts arrive, you're right there with them; it's really immersive. 👍
Amazing family experience! We really felt like we were on the ISS and in space! 👩🏻🚀 The whole team is warm and welcoming, absolutely fantastic! 👌🏻
An impressive immersion aboard the ISS! The team is very friendly and helped us a lot with a technical problem.
The experience on the ISS was magnificent. A truly beautiful spectacle. I'd do it again.
We came as a couple to try the experience, and we LOVED it! We really felt like we were there! I highly recommend it for friends, families, or couples!
Excellent experience at Horizon de Khéops. The team is very welcoming and attentive to ensuring we had a good time. I highly recommend it!
Fourth exhibit, the ISS exhibit. Absolutely incredible, a total immersion with real videos of astronauts on the space station, even better than a created imaginary world. A huge thank you to Emma for her warm welcome and enthusiasm. We'll be back.
Fantastic family experience at Eclipso Bordeaux. The immersion is incredible, the team is welcoming and very friendly. We had a wonderful time and I highly recommend it!

Your questions about our experiences
How long does the Lost Worlds experience last in Bordeaux?
The virtual reality expedition is experienced in 45 minutes of immersionIncluding the welcome by our team, the briefing before putting on the VR headset, and the return to reality, expect approximately 1 hour on siteA duration designed to easily fit into an afternoon on rue Saint-Sernin, a stone's throw from the historic centre of Bordeaux.
Is the Lost Worlds experience suitable for children?
Yes. Lost Worlds is accessible from 8 years old and was designed to speak to all generations at once. Alongside the young biologist Charlie and his robot DarwinChildren and adults alike journey through eight major periods in the history of life—from the Cambrian era to the contemporary world—and encounter over 120 animal species and 100 plant species fully reconstructed. The story, validated by researchers from the National Museum of Natural History, contains no violent or frightening scenes: it is an ideal format for a family outing in Bordeaux, where you learn as much as you marvel.
Is there a suitable mode for people prone to vertigo?
Yes. Lost Worlds has a Moderate (SOFT) This technology mitigates certain motion effects within the virtual environment—particularly transitions between time periods and areas where perspective changes abruptly—to minimize feelings of vertigo while preserving the richness of the recreated landscapes. Simply let our team know your needs during the briefing, and they will configure the headset accordingly. This allows those who are more sensitive to motion sickness, or hesitant to experience VR for the first time, to fully enjoy the expedition in optimal comfort.
On what scientific data is the Lost Worlds experiment based?
The expedition was born from a direct collaboration with the National Museum of Natural History, under the scientific direction of Bruno David, Guillaume Lecointre, Gaël Clément and Sylvain CharbonnierFour leading figures in French paleontology and evolutionary biology are featured. Each tableau—from the astonishing underwater Cambrian to Cretaceous dinosaurs, by way of the giant Carboniferous forests—is based on the most probable scientific hypotheses given the current state of knowledge. Comparative anatomy, paleohistology, and physical chemistry: several disciplines have been mobilized to reconstruct textures, colors, behaviors, and environments millions of years old. It is this methodological rigor that distinguishes Lost Worlds from a mere immersive entertainment experience.
Can you follow up "Disappearing Worlds" with another experience on the same day in Bordeaux?
Yes. Eclipso Bordeaux offers five immersive expeditions on the theme of culture, history and science: Lost Worlds, Horizon of Khufu, The Secret of the Pyramid Builders, The Last Ramparts – Carcassonne 1304 et An Evening with the ImpressionistsYou can book two consecutive slots online for a full day of expeditions, or check availability directly on site. A combination that's particularly popular in Bordeaux: linking Lost Worlds with The Horizon of Khéops to explore both the history of life on Earth and that of human civilizations.
What are the least busy time slots at Eclipso Bordeaux?
For a more peaceful visit, we recommend you come weekdays between 16pm and 18pm, or on weekends between 12pm and 14pmThese time slots generally allow you to avoid peak periods and enjoy immersion in more comfortable conditions — a particularly useful suggestion for visitors who come with their families and children, or for those who are discovering virtual reality for the first time.
Why does living in Disappearing Worlds in Bordeaux make sense?
Bordeaux is a land deeply linked to the history of life. The region is home to one of the richest paleontological heritages in France — the fossil deposits of the Aquitaine Basin have yielded major specimens studied since the 19th century, and the Bordeaux Museum – Science and NatureA ten-minute walk from our center on Rue Saint-Sernin, the museum houses some of the oldest natural history collections in France. Experiencing Lost Worlds in Bordeaux therefore means traversing 3,5 billion years of evolution in a city where the life sciences have a true local memoryIt is also an opportunity to extend the expedition with a visit to the Bordeaux Museum, or with a walk along the banks of the Garonne, imagining the prehistoric landscapes that stretched where the river flows today.
