At Eclipso, we want you to fully enjoy your journey through time, without getting bogged down in the fine print. This FAQ gathers answers to the most frequently asked questions about our immersive experiences, booking, pricing, and accessibility. Before your arrival
How much time should be allowed for the experiment?
The virtual reality experience lasts between 30 and 45 minutes depending on the chosen scenario. It is recommended to allow approximately one hour in total to fully enjoy your session. This time includes your welcome, depositing your belongings in a secure locker, the preparation briefing, the equipment, as well as the debriefing after the experience.
In what languages is the experience available?
Our experiences are available in French, English, and Spanish at all our centers. Depending on the location, other languages may be offered: check your center's page for available options.
What are the quietest times to visit?
For a more peaceful experience, it is recommended to visit during the week, particularly on Wednesday or Thursday, between 15pm and 17pm. These times generally allow you to avoid peak hours and fully enjoy your immersive experience.
Is there a changing room or lockers on site?
Free lockers are available for you to store your belongings safely during your experience.
Can I enter with a phone or smartwatch?
Phones and smartwatches are not allowed in the immersion room, as their signals can cause interference. You can safely store them in the lockers provided before beginning your experience.
Can I buy souvenirs after my visit?
Yes, each Eclipso center has a shop where you can buy souvenirs and merchandise related to our immersive experiences, to extend the fun after your visit.
Are the experiences the same from one city to another?
Each Eclipso center guarantees a consistently high-quality immersive experience, but the programming may vary from city to city. Some themes are exclusive to a single center, while others are gradually rolled out across multiple locations. This allows for unique experiences depending on the location.
How can I find out what experiences are available in or near my city?
To find out about experiences available near you, visit the homepage or the Centers section of the website. There you will find a complete list of cities where Eclipso operates, along with the experiences currently offered in each. This allows you to easily choose the one that interests you.
Can I bring a suitcase or a large bag?
Lockers are available for storing standard-sized bags, but large suitcases cannot be stored on site. If you are travelling with a large bag, it is advisable to leave it elsewhere before your visit.
What outfit or shoes should I wear?
To fully enjoy your experience, choose comfortable clothing and stable shoes. Avoid heels, flip-flops, unstable sandals, or bulky clothing that could restrict your movements and compromise your safety during the immersion.
Is the experience violent, anxiety-inducing, or frightening?
Eclipso experiences are designed to be immersive and accessible to everyone, without violence or any intention to frighten. Some worlds may contain impressive scenes, but they remain suitable for a wide audience. If you are sensitive, please don't hesitate to ask our team for advice before starting.
Procedure of the experience
How does the immersive experience work?
Your experience begins with a welcome and briefing from our team, who will explain how it works. You will then be fitted with a VR headset before entering the immersion room. The session lasts between 35 and 45 minutes depending on the experience chosen, after which you will be assisted in easily removing your equipment.
Are we standing throughout the entire experiment?
Yes, the experiences are lived standing up and in motion, with movement and sometimes squatting. If you are tired, less stable, or in a wheelchair, it is possible to adapt the experience so that you can enjoy it comfortably.
Can you wear glasses during the experiment?
You can wear your glasses during the experience. When trying on the headset, our team will help you test it with and without glasses to find the most comfortable setup before starting the immersion.
Is the experience suitable for people who wear contact lenses?
The experience is perfectly compatible with contact lens wear. If you are prone to dry eyes, it is advisable to blink regularly or use moisturizing lenses for added comfort during the session.
Is there a gentler mode for people prone to dizziness?
A SOFT mode is available for the Khéops Horizon and Lost Worlds experiences, which reduces certain movement effects to limit feelings of vertigo. This setting allows those prone to dizziness to enjoy the virtual reality immersion more comfortably.
Is it possible to experience dizziness or nausea?
Thanks to our free roaming technology and the way our experiences are designed and delivered, feelings of dizziness or nausea are extremely rare. In very rare cases, some people may experience mild symptoms. A team is present throughout the experience to assist you. If you feel unwell, you can end your immersion at any time without disturbing other participants.
What happens if I panic or feel unwell during the immersion?
If you panic or feel unwell during the immersion, you can stop at any time. A member of our team will immediately escort you safely out of the room. You can then relax in the reception area before regaining your composure, without any pressure.
Can I do the experiment while using a cane?
Using a cane during the immersive experience is strongly discouraged, as it is not visible in the virtual environment, which could lead to collisions or falls. For your safety, you can experience the game in a wheelchair, which we provide at all our centers.
Are there any special instructions for children?
Virtual reality immersion is reserved for children aged 8 and over. Children must remain under the constant supervision of an adult. If a child wishes to end the experience, an adult must accompany them out of the room, as our team cannot provide supervision outside of the immersive experience.
Can I try this with a baby (baby carrier or stroller)?
The immersive experience requires wearing a VR headset and moving freely around the room, which is not compatible with a baby in a carrier or with a stroller. For everyone's safety, it is therefore impossible to participate in the activity with a baby.
