In-depth, mind-boggling experience on the ISS for anyone interested in space exploration or just… the future of our planet. Very sophisticated VR photography and educational integration, with your choice of vignettes (you can reach out and “touch” them) highlighting aspects of life for the space station crew. Beautiful views of the earth and the universe from outside the ship. Ages 8+ are welcome but I think older Kids will appreciate it more — they may understand what a technical and entertainment achievement this is.

I've gone to pretty much every VR experience that they offer and the team is impeccable. The service is so great. Everybody is super nice helpful and the space is clean. I love that they give you your own lockers to store your stuff in while you're enjoying the VR experience and it's honestly such a fun hour. I would recommend it to all my friends family for just a nice fun time out.

What will I experience during the Colosseum experience?
You embody the perspective of Caius, a ten-year-old Roman boy, and journey through 80st-century Rome: its markets, its temples, and the immense shadow of the Colosseum. Guided by the voice of Flamma—a slave who became a legendary gladiator, pardoned by the emperor after 34 fights—you explore the arena's backstage areas, its underground passages, and then ascend to the light to experience the spectacle before 000 spectators. The experience lasts 35 minutes.
Is the experiment historically accurate?
Yes. Every detail—from the stands to the tombs, from the citizens to the gladiators—has been recreated through years of creative research, in collaboration with the studio Small. Authors Benjamin Auriche and Jean Dellac, under the creative direction of Frédéric Bussière, have crafted a narrative that blends historical accuracy with cutting-edge technology. The experience is co-produced by Excurio.
Are gladiatorial combats violent or shocking?
The experience recreates the atmosphere and intensity of the Colosseum games, with the ferocity of the battles and the roar of the crowd. It is designed to be immersive and accessible to the general public, without explicitly violent content. If you have any questions, our team is available at reception to advise you before you enter the theater.
Is the experience suitable for children?
The experience is suitable for ages 8 and up. Children under this age are not permitted to enter the premises or participate. The story is told from the perspective of a Roman child, making it a particularly engaging experience for young visitors. Children must be accompanied by an adult and remain under the constant responsibility and supervision of their parent(s) or legal guardian(s).
How long does the experiment last and how much time should be allowed?
The Colosseum experience lasts 35 minutes. Including check-in, briefing, and equipment fitting, please allow approximately 50 minutes in total. We recommend arriving at the time indicated on your ticket.
Is the experience accessible to people with reduced mobility?
Yes. Eclipso New York, located at 555 West 57th Street, is ADA compliant. The center, spanning over 900 square meters, offers a spacious layout that allows for easy movement for all visitors. The Coliseum experience is a free-roaming VR immersion lasting approximately 35 minutes, which may not be suitable for people with balance or stability issues. For safety reasons, walkers and canes are not permitted during the experience, as VR headsets obstruct vision and increase the risk of falls. Wheelchairs are available upon request.
Can I experience the Colosseum in French or another language?
Yes, the experience is available in English, Spanish, French, and Mandarin. You can choose your language before the immersion begins.
