I came to try this virtual reality experience for the first time. The story is well done, and Mona guides you on the "Builders' Treasure" expedition. The tour is limited to groups of four, which allows plenty of space to admire the scenery and displays. My only slight complaint is that the headset felt quite heavy, which caused me neck pain after the 45-minute session. There was also a gap around my nose, so I couldn't fully enjoy the experience.
I thoroughly enjoyed the virtual reality immersion in Egypt. The experience was truly captivating, allowing you to discover the history, monuments, and atmosphere of ancient Egypt in a much more vivid way than a simple visit or a traditional video. Being immersed in the scenery gave the impression of traveling back in time. You could better appreciate the grandeur of the temples, pyramids, and Egyptian civilization. Virtual reality makes learning more interactive, more impactful, and above all, more accessible. I also appreciated the visual and immersive aspects of the experience: the details, the ambiance, and the sense of presence made the discovery very enjoyable. It's an original and modern way to engage with history while having a fun and impressive experience. In short, I really enjoyed this VR immersion in Egypt because it combines culture, technology, and emotion. It's an experience I recommend to anyone curious to discover Egypt in a new way.

A fantastic introduction to virtual reality with the Builders of the Great Pyramid of Giza scenario! The visuals are stunning and the immersion is very well done. The downsides: it's a bit pricey for 50 minutes of immersion, and the other visitors were particularly noisy, making it difficult to hear the headset's sound. I recommend visiting during the week to avoid the crowds.

It's certainly expensive. But I loved the experience. I chose the less immersive mode because of my vertigo; the movements seem different to avoid unpleasant sensations. A truly fantastic experience. I've done Keops and I plan to go back.
A fun experience; I did it with my children and also as part of a professional event. The sets and themes are well-designed, and the duration is long enough to fully enjoy it. However, we did get dizzy after wearing the VR headset for a while.

What is the difference between The Treasure of the Builders and The Horizon of Khufu?
Both expeditions explore ancient Egypt, but with two opposing and complementary perspectives. Horizon of Khufu takes you inside the Great Pyramid to discover its burial chambers and secret passages — a contemplative immersion, centered on the pharaonic mystery. The Secret of the Pyramid Builders takes you outside, to the colossal construction site of the pyramid, guided by the young Egyptologist Mona In a truly interactive investigation: how were 2,3 million stone blocks cut, transported, and assembled 4,500 years ago? One section recounts the result, the other reveals the human saga. At Eclipso Paris, both expeditions are available and can be combined on the same day for a complete immersion in ancient Egypt.
Is The Builders' Treasure suitable for children and teenagers?
Yes, it's even one of the most popular expeditions for younger people. The experience is accessible from 8 years old and is based on a format interactive survey Guided by Mona, participants solve the riddles of the pharaonic construction site, handle ancient tools, and discover the engineering secrets of the builders. The playful aspect is particularly appealing to children and teenagers, while the scientific rigor reassures parents. It's an ideal family cultural outing in Paris, at the crossroads of play and history.
On what scientific research is The Builders' Treasure based?
The expedition was developed in collaboration with Peter Der Manuelian and Barbara Bell, Egyptologists from Harvard Universityand draws on the most recent archaeological discoveries: Inspector Merer's construction diary (the oldest papyrus ever discovered), the ancient ports of Giza, and the hidden spaces revealed by muography. Every tool, every construction technique, every detail of the workers' daily lives has been reconstructed from validated archaeological sources. It is this rigor that distinguishes the expedition from a mere immersive experience—and that brings it closer to the major Parisian Egyptological institutions, from the Louvre to the Arab World Institute.
Can the Builders' Treasure experience cause dizziness?
The expedition was experienced standing up, with free movement within the immersion space, but It does not feature scenes of dizzying heights or falls. Unlike The Horizon of Cheops and Lost Worlds, the SOFT mode is not available on this expedition. — It is not technically necessary given the nature of the experience (ground-based construction site, no diving or flying). Our team remains present in the room throughout the experience, and you can end your immersion at any time if you feel uncomfortable. If you are particularly sensitive to movement, please let us know at reception before the session begins.
Can you follow up The Treasure of the Builders with another experience at Eclipso Paris?
Absolutely. Eclipso Paris offers five immersive expeditions which complement each other perfectly. After The Builders' Treasure, The most natural combination is to extend your stay in Egypt with The Horizon of Khéops — You'll move seamlessly from the construction site to the interior of the completed pyramid, a rare narrative continuity. Alternatively, you can opt for a complete change of scenery with An Evening with the Impressionists and its Paris of 1874, The Last Ramparts – Carcassonne 1304 and its medieval siege, or Lost Worlds and its 3,5 billion years of evolution.
